In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, METRO is hosting, “Shelter From The Storm” at the Foundry, New Orleans . This event will bring together community members and organization patrons for an evening of food, music, silent and live auctions, and an open bar.

The Metropolitan Center for Women and Children
METRO is a non-profit organization that exists for survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. METRO provides a 24-hour crisis line, shelter, counseling, legal aid and advocacy services for individuals in the greater New Orleans area. METRO’s mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence and aid survivors of sexual assault through advocacy, intervention, and empowerment transformation.
